Magic: The Gathering Learn-to-Play Event

Gather your friends and join us for a fun and easy introduction to Magic: The Gathering — no experience or cards needed! Our instructors will guide you through the basics and get you playing right away using MTG The Hobbit Welcome Decks which you get to keep!

After the learn-to-play session, you’ll jump into a friendly mini-tournament to put your new skills to the test. The top player will receive a promotional Magic: The Gathering card to kickstart their collection!

DATE: Wednesday, August 26th

• Learn to Play Magic: The Gathering: 6:00 – 7:00 PM

• Fun Tournament: 7:00 – 9:00 PM

What is Magic: The Gathering?
Magic: The Gathering is the world’s first and most popular trading card game, where players take on the role of powerful wizards called Planeswalkers. You’ll cast spells, summon creatures, and use strategy to outwit your opponents. With thousands of cards and endless combinations, every game is a new adventure!

CANCELLATIONS, LATENESS/ABSENCE AND WAITLIST: Event tickets are non-refundable if you do not provide us with at least 24 hours notice of being unable to attend. Store credit will be issued.

Unless we receive prior notice, we will give attendees 10 minutes past the scheduled start time to show up before releasing their seat to another player. Attendees who arrive after this time without notice will forfeit their seat and receive store credit.

SPECTATORS: DUE TO LIMITED SEATING IN OUR PLAY SPACE WE CANNOT ALLOW SPECTATORS UNLESS THEY PAY A SEATING FEE OF $8+TAX/PERSON TO ATTEND AS A PATRON OF OUR BOARD GAME CAFE.

This fee is regardless of whether they sit, stand, or make use of the games in our library. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
