WHEN: FRI OCT 30. Check in begins at 6:15PM. Tournament will start at 6:30PM.
FORMAT: Standard. Themed. Decks must consist only of Dark-type or Ghost-type (see Pokedex) Pokemon. Swiss. Three 30 minute rounds.
PROXIES: OK if proxies are ≤40% of your deck
ENTRY FEE: $10.00 ($8.85 + tax)
PRIZING:

  • 1st place: 1 Sealed Pokemon Checklane Blister Booster Pack
  • ALL: 2 League promo booster packs for participation + 1 Pack of Play! Pokemon: Pokeween promo cards
  • BONUS: 2-3 Raffles will be placed for those that do not place (subject to attendance and availability)
Calling all trainers, ghouls, and creatures of the night! Grab your cards and prepare for a spooky night of strategy at our Pokeween Spook-Type Tournament. We are challenging you to build a deck using only the shadows and the supernatural.

📜 THE SPOOKY DECK-BUILDING RULES
To keep things thematic, your deck must strictly follow these custom casual guidelines:
  • Dark and/or Ghost-Type Only: Every Pokemon in your deck must either be a Dark-type OR a Pokemon that is officially a Ghost-type in the video games (see Pokedex entry).
  • The "Ghost" Typing Exception: Since Ghost-types are spread across different colors in the TCG (like Psychic Gengar, Fire Chandelure, or Grass Trevenant), you can use any card type as long as the Pokémon itself is a certified Ghost-type!
  • Evolution Clause: If your Ghost or Dark Pokémon evolves from a different type (like a Fire-type Cyndaquil evolving into a Ghost-type Hisuian Typhlosion), those basic pre-evolutions are allowed so you can safely evolve them during play.
  • Trainers & Energy: You can use any Trainer cards and any Energy cards required to power up your spooky squad.

❌CANCELLATIONS, LATENESS/ABSENCE AND WAITLIST: Event tickets are non-refundable if you do not provide us with at least 24 hours notice of being unable to attend. Store credit will be issued.

👀SPECTATORS: DUE TO LIMITED SEATING IN OUR PLAY SPACE WE CANNOT ALLOW SPECTATORS UNLESS THEY PAY A SEATING FEE OF $8+TAX/PERSON TO ATTEND AS A PATRON OF OUR BOARD GAME CAFE.

This fee is regardless of whether they sit, stand, or make use of the games in our library. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
